Manufacturer warranty support for all commercial generators
Manufacturer Warranty
All generators sold through GeneratorProDirect include the full manufacturer warranty. Because we are an authorized dealer, your warranty is fully honored by the manufacturer's service network. Warranty terms vary by brand and model:
- Generac: 5-year limited warranty on most standby models; 2-3 years on portable
- Kohler: 5-year / 2,000-hour limited warranty on standby; varies on portable
- Cummins: 5-year limited warranty on residential standby; varies on commercial
- Briggs & Stratton: 5-year limited on standby; 2-year on portable models
Return Policy
Due to the nature of commercial power equipment, our return policy differs from standard retail:
- Unused, unopened equipment: May be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund minus return freight costs. Equipment must be in original packaging with all accessories and documentation.
- Installed or used generators: Cannot be returned. Once a generator has been connected to fuel, oil or an electrical system, it is considered used and falls under the manufacturer's warranty policy.
- Transfer switches and accessories: May be returned within 30 days if unused and in original packaging.
Damaged Goods
If your generator arrives damaged:
- Note all visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing
- Take photographs of the damaged packaging and equipment
- Contact us within 48 hours at [email protected]
- Do not attempt to use or install a damaged generator
- We will initiate a freight claim and arrange a replacement or refund
Warranty Service
For warranty issues after installation, contact the manufacturer's service network directly. As an authorized dealer, your purchase is registered with the manufacturer and eligible for their full service programme. We can help facilitate warranty claims if needed — contact us with your order number and a description of the issue.
