Shipping Methods
Commercial and industrial generators are heavy equipment that ships via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight carriers. Unlike standard parcel shipping, LTL freight delivery involves palletized goods transported on commercial trucks.
All orders over $499 qualify for free standard freight shipping to the contiguous 48 United States. Orders below $499 incur a flat rate shipping charge calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.
Delivery Times
- In-stock items: Ship within 3-5 business days from the nearest distribution centre
- Special order / made-to-order: 2-4 weeks depending on manufacturer and model
- Industrial generators (100kW+): May require 4-8 weeks lead time
Delivery Options
Kerbside / Loading Dock Delivery: Standard LTL freight delivery is to the kerb or loading dock. The freight carrier will unload your generator from the truck at ground level. You are responsible for moving the unit from the delivery point to its final location.
Lift Gate Service: If your location does not have a loading dock, lift gate service is available for an additional charge. The carrier will use a hydraulic lift gate to lower the generator from the truck to ground level. Request lift gate service at checkout or contact us before ordering.
Inspection on Delivery
When your generator arrives, inspect the packaging before signing the delivery receipt. Note any visible damage on the carrier's Bill of Lading. If the packaging appears significantly damaged, you may refuse delivery. Contact us immediately if you discover damage so we can initiate a freight claim.
